Speeds Healthcare has been supporting healthcare providers with our Pharmacist-led support and supply service for over 30 years. Speeds is now embarking on an ambitious growth plan following the acquisition in 2023 by Universal Health Services.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement team. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for raising and managing purchase orders and ensuring timely and accurate procurement of goods.
Responsibilities:
· Raise and process purchase orders (POs) in line with company policies and procedures.
· Liaise with internal departments to clarify requirements and ensure accurate order details.
· Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery.
· Resolve PO discrepancies, such as pricing or quantity issues, with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
· Update outbound pricing on customer website and in invoicing system.
· Support the procurement team with administrative tasks including reporting, filing, and data entry.
· Assist in sourcing new suppliers and obtaining quotes when required.
· Monitor stock levels, support with stock takes and raise replenishment orders as needed.
· Ensure compliance with procurement policies and audit requirements.
Key Skills:
· Proven experience in data entry or administrative roles, ideally within a healthcare setting.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
· Strong typing skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Highly organised with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
