Quality and Compliance Manager
£58,455.00 - £62,262.00 (pay award pending)

If so, we invite you to apply for the role of Quality & Compliance Manager with the Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Scientific Support Services (RSSS).
About the Role:
As the Quality and Compliance Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of a strategic, proportionate approach to the regulation of forensic science activities across RSSS and West Yorkshire Police/Regional Organised Crime Unit Digital Forensics Unit. You will be the subject matter expert on regulatory compliance, quality management systems, and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead and manage the department Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance across services, suppliers, audits, and complaints.
•Provide expert advice to senior leadership on regulatory matters, compliance risks, and new standards.
•Liaise with external bodies including the Office of the Forensic Science Regulator, UKAS and national policing groups.
•Direct and support a team of Accreditation Officers and quality representatives across the organisation.
•Influence national policy and practice through participation in working groups and strategic forums.
What We’re Looking For:
•Proven experience managing a QMS and achieving regulatory compliance to ISO standards, preferable 1700 series.
•Strong leadership and project management skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
•Strategic understanding of regulation and the ability to implement innovative solutions.
•Experience as an assessor/auditor in a multi-site organisation.
•A relevant degree or equivalent experience in a regulated field.
•Willingness to travel regionally and nationally, with access to a vehicle for business use.
