Swift Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and high-performing secondary school in Mitcham to recruit a confident and dedicated Computer Science Teacher for a September start.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Computer Science specialist who is confident teaching across KS3, KS4 and KS5, including A-Level Computer Science. The school are keen to meet suitable teachers as soon as possible and can arrange interviews or trial days ahead of September.
The Role
You will take responsibility for teaching Computer Science across the school, delivering engaging lessons, maintaining strong classroom routines, and supporting pupils to make strong progress in their learning.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5
Teach Computer Science confidently up to A-Level
Maintain strong classroom management and positive learning routines
Support pupils’ academic progress, confidence and subject knowledge
Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and the wider department
Follow school policies around behaviour, safeguarding and assessment
Contribute to a positive and collaborative school culture
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level
Confidence teaching Computer Science up to KS5 / A-Level
Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
A flexible, proactive and professional approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Availability for a September start
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
Right to Work in the UK
