Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact in a specialist setting?
A nurturing primary SEND provision in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support children aged 4 7 with Autism and communication needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a small, supportive environment, supporting a class of approximately pupils.
Role:
You will play a key role in supporting pupils learning and development by:
* Supporting the delivery of structured, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
* Providing targeted 1:1 support and small group interventions
* Supporting children s academic, social and emotional development
* Creating a calm, inclusive and positive learning environment
* Working closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to help pupils make meaningful progress
What we are looking for:
* Experience supporting children with Autism and communication needs (school or specialist setting preferred)
* A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
* A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Reliability, consistency and commitment
