Deputy Manager – Dementia Care & Rehabilitation

Deputy Manager
to support the day-to-day operations of specialist dementia and discharge-to-assess wards.
This is a
hands-on leadership role
—ideal for someone with experience as a Senior Carer, Deputy Manager, or Manager within social care. You don't need to be clinically registered—but you do need passion, leadership, and a deep understanding of dementia care.
What you'll be doing
As Deputy Manager, you'll work closely with the General Manager to ensure residents receive the highest standards of person-centred care. You'll lead by example, inspire a dedicated team, and play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, quality, and resident wellbeing.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Championing evidence-based dementia care that respects individuality
* Supporting CQC compliance and internal quality standards
* Overseeing audits, care planning, medication management, and safeguarding
* Supervising, mentoring, and developing care teams
* Assisting with recruitment, rotas, and training
* Building strong relationships with residents and their families
* Deputising for the General Manager when required
* Supporting budget management, stock control, and supplier relations
* Maintaining a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment
* Participating in the on-call rota
What we're looking for
You'll have proven experience in a senior care role (Senior Carer, Deputy, or Manager) with a strong knowledge of dementia care and person-centred practices. You'll also bring:
* Solid understanding of care regulations and safeguarding principles
* Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
* Compassionate, proactive management style with a focus on quality outcomes
