Job Description
Assist teachers in promoting achievement and raising the standards of pupil attainment, providing general support related to the needs of the class and individual care, health, wellbeing, and safety; ensuring a secure and safe environment.
Flexibility in school location within the cluster is required, according to individual circumstances, and the role involves working with pupils from P1 to S6.
The post holder must demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
Working hours are from 9.20am to 3.20pm, Monday to Friday.
This position may continue beyond December and is fixed-term until 01/12/2025.
This role involves regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check. If the candidate has spent three or more months outside the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory clearance of these checks.
Initially based at the advertised location, but may be required to work elsewhere within the Portlethen CSN.
