Akkodis is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to support major aerospace projects focused on Through Life Support for legacy electromechanical systems operating in highly regulated environments.
This role will involve resolving in-service issues, conducting root cause investigations, implementing corrective actions, and supporting the continued reliability and airworthiness of aerospace products.
Key Responsibilities
* Investigate in-service mechanical issues and structural anomalies
* Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
* Support closure of Problem Reports and concessions
* Produce and approve engineering documentation and reports
* Support technical reviews and cross‑functional engineering activities
* Contribute to reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Experience
* 5+ years’ experience in mechanical or electromechanical engineering
* Aerospace or other highly regulated industry background
* Experience with rotating machinery such as generators or electric motors
* Experience supporting legacy or in‑service products
* Strong understanding of engineering documentation within regulated environments
Required Skills
* Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
* Ability to perform stress and thermal calculations
* NX CAD experience (NX6 preferred)
* Experience with Windchill or Teamcenter
* Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
Education
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
