As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will step into the classroom to supervise students during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring learning continues in a structured and positive environment. This role is ideal for graduates considering a future career in teaching. What you have to as a Cover Supervisor : Supervise whole classes using pre-set lesson plans Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Provide support and guidance to students where needed Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour Maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment Assist with general school duties as required Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times Requirements needed to be a Graduate Cover Supervisor : A recent graduate with a degree in any subject like Psychology, Social Care, SEN, Education, Sports, Science etc. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Confidence managing groups of young people A genuine interest in working within education Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
