Job Description
Your work environment: Our European Information Systems and Services (EISS) department is looking for an Application Projects Engineer on a VIE contract for 12-24 months based at Wantage (UK).
The VIE scheme (Volontariat International en Entreprise, International Internship Programme), is opened to any EU nationals. This role is specifically aimed at candidates eligible to join Crown as a VIE for a fixed-term contract between 12 up to 24 months.

Your Mission In Crown
With a good background in data engineering, you will support our European IT Teams and provide support to our Industry 4.0 implementation programme. You will be trained on the technology and join a team of application experts. You will also contribute to the development of the data lake with the use of Power BI.
The ideal candidate will be capable to learn or have a first experience in integrating diverse data sources and ensuring data quality and performance. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights to present complex information using data visualization techniques. You will also participate to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley rules, EISS standards (ISO), Prince2 methodology and ITIL processes.
About You
The successful candidate is a graduate in Information Systems or Computer/Industrial Engineering. You are fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication and project management skills (Prince 2 and ITIL knowledge a plus). You have excellent analytical problem-solving skills. Integrity, attention to detail, service and goal oriented are key behaviours required. You have a strong understanding of the IT role in a business environment, existing knowledge of data engineering would be an advantage as a robust knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Power BI, Industry 4.0 or similar). You are an effective team player, able to work under pressure to tight deadlines, with a continuous improvement mind-set. Training will be provided.
