Welfare Officer / Administrator (Maternity Cover)
High School in Ealing
Hours: 8:00am 4:00pm (Full-time)

An ambitious and inclusive high school in Ealing is seeking a dedicated and organised Welfare Officer / Administrator to join its team on a maternity cover basis. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of the school, combining student welfare, first aid leadership, and administrative support.

About the Welfare Officer Role

You will act as the school s primary First Aider, managing the Welfare Room and ensuring a safe, calm, and responsive service for students. Alongside this, you will support school trips administration, assist with reprographics, and contribute to the wider administrative team.

Welfare Officer Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage whole-school First Aid provision

* Support students medical and welfare needs, maintaining accurate records

* Liaise with parents, carers, and external health professionals

* Maintain and monitor student healthcare plans and medication

* Oversee the day-to-day running of the Welfare Room

* Support the organisation and preparation of school trips and events

* Assist with reprographics and general administrative duties

* Contribute to safeguarding, health & safety, and school-wide initiatives

Welfare Officer What We re Looking For

* A First Aid qualification (or willingness to train)

* Experience in administration and/or welfare support

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

* Confident communication with students, staff, and families

* Ability to remain calm, professional, and responsive in a busy environment

* Good ICT skills, including MS Office

Experience working in a school or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
