Role overview
In your role as a Clinical Unit Manager at HC One, you\'ll value one thing above all: Kindness. It carries across every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. Being a Clinical Unit Manager means taking responsibility for a specific part of the home and delivering the very best level of care. You may also be asked to run the entire home when the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager are absent. You\'ll use professional judgement to ensure resident dignity and wellbeing is central to every action, whether reporting mobility concerns, requesting samples for monitoring, or administering medicines.
Responsibilities
* Report and address residents\' needs with a focus on dignity and wellbeing.
* Manage day-to-day operations of a specified area or the whole home in the manager\'s absence.
* Ensure safe, compassionate, person-centred care in line with professional standards.

* Registered Nurse with a valid PIN and commitment to the NMC standards of practice.
* Passion to mentor and share knowledge with colleagues; experience as a practice supervisor and assessor to students is welcome.
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and professional behaviours.
* Advocate of a person-centred approach to care for residents and their families.
* Understanding of safeguarding: recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, know how to act, attend safeguarding training, and escalate concerns when necessary.
