About the role
As one of our Technician Specialists, you'll have the opportunity to bring our John Lewis service directly to customers' homes, installing products such as furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems, and TVs as part of a 2-person delivery team. You'll also coach and develop other delivery drivers in home installations and customer service, acting as a role model for the high standards John Lewis is known for.
Applicants must be 18 or older to work in this role.
Salary
The expected starting salary for a Customer Delivery Hub Driver Trainee is £34,353 annually.
Key Responsibilities
* Represent the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
* Train, develop, and assess fellow delivery drivers.
* Assist in loading deliveries with the warehouse team.
* Respect customers' homes and handle unexpected situations professionally.
* Install products efficiently and demonstrate their use.
* Stay updated on new products and technologies.
* Maintain a safe working environment.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Previous installation experience, with training provided for certification.
* Manual C1 UK driving license (max 6 points).
* DCPC and Tachograph Card.
* Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
* Customer-facing experience.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Physical ability to handle large items.
* Good understanding of technology.
