Responsibilities Warehouse Apprentice
* Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
* Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
* Utilise software for inventory management and order processing.
* Perform picking and packing of orders with precision, preparing items for dispatch.
* Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and retrieval methods are followed.
* Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring safe lifting techniques are employed.
Qualifications Warehouse Apprentice
* Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
* Proficiency in operating forklifts; certification is advantageous.
* Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is beneficial.
* Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance is desirable.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Capability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
* A proactive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration within a diverse workforce.
