The Role

As the People Partner, you will act as an operational and, where appropriate, strategic partner to leaders and managers within a designated part of the organisation, providing expert HR advice, guidance, coaching and support in line with IEG policies and procedures, to drive and enable workforce effectiveness. You will work closely with leaders and managers to align people strategies with business objectives, delivering workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, informal employee relations, change management, employee engagement, talent development and succession planning while ensuring compliance with employment law and sector-specific regulations.

Key Responsibilities
* Partnering with leaders and managers to develop and implement workforce plans aligned with strategic objectives and managing flexible working requests.
* Leading the recruitment and selection processes in partnership with hiring managers and the People Services Delivery team to ensure timely delivery of recruitment, onboarding and induction administration.
* Ensuring performance management practices comply with IEG policies and procedures.
* Providing expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, including risk mitigation and fair outcomes.
* Leading sickness absence management to maximise workforce productivity, referring formal cases to the ER & Compliance Manager.
* Championing the employee value proposition to continuously improve employee engagement, measured via the employee survey.
* Leading and championing change management projects and programmes (re-structures, TUPE, mergers & acquisitions, cultural change) with regulatory and legal compliance.
* Supporting organisational development activities, including leadership development, coaching and succession planning.
* Consistently applying HR policies, procedures and practices, reporting concerns and continuous improvement opportunities to the ER & Compliance Manager.
* Embedding best practice equality, diversity and inclusion across the organisation.
* Leading and/or contributing to key HR projects as directed by the Executive Director of People Services.
Qualifications
* Experienced and motivated People Partner with CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification.
* Demonstrated experience as a strategic HR Partner in a large and complex organisation.
* Experience leading end-to-end change management projects, including redundancy, redeployment, TUPE, mergers and acquisitions.
* Strong credibility, influence and ability to build trusting relationships quickly across all levels.
* Excellent time management, project management and communication skills.
