Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and Punjabi speaking Care Workers to provide high quality support to individuals within a home care setting. Applicants should have a basic understanding of Indian culture and politics to help build meaningful rapport with clients. This role focuses on delivering personalised care that promotes each person’s safety, comfort, independence, and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
* Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
* Administer medication in line with prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records.
* Prepare nutritious meals and support clients with eating when required.
* Deliver support with daily living activities in accordance with individual care plans.
* Engage clients in stimulating and meaningful activities to enhance mental and emotional well being.
* Monitor clients’ health and promptly report any concerns to healthcare professionals.
* Provide behavioural support for individuals living with dementia or other cognitive conditions.
* Carry out light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
* Accompany or drive clients to appointments, social activities, or outings (driving experience preferred).
Requirements
Experience is not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided. However, applicants should demonstrate:
* Patience, empathy, and a caring nature
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A valid driving licence (advantageous for roles involving client transportation)
