An outstanding specialist school for children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs based in Maidenhead, Berkshire, is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Graduate to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant supporting children with behaviour and mental health issues. Candidates with relevant experience will also be considered! The SEN School is in Maidenhead, and the role is full-time starting ASAP. The SEN children are aged 5 to 11 and require consistent, ongoing support to ensure they receive high-quality, child-centred care. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a mental health assistant to work alongside therapists and psychologists on-site. You will be mentored, shadow sessions, and learn from professionals. Gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs and Mental Health issues. This role is ideal for aspiring educational or occupational psychologists, therapeutic support workers, or SEN teachers.
The SEMH School seeks a SEN Teaching Assistant who can bring enthusiasm, passion, and experience to the classroom. They want a proactive, adaptable individual who can use their initiative. Resilience and confidence in managing challenging behaviour are desirable.
