Cedar Creek Hospital of Michigan is a state of the art 72‑bed facility that provides evidence‑based treatment to adolescents and adults struggling with mental health issues. The hospital offers an integrated medical approach that includes yoga, mindfulness, aromatherapy, music therapy, and nutrition. We are seeking qualified applicants for an Activity Therapist position.
Position Description
The Activity Therapist (CTRS or other Creative Arts Therapist – Dance and Movement, Art, Music, etc.) is responsible for providing Recreational Therapy services, including assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic activity interventions, and discharge leisure planning. The therapist employs individual and/or group activity interventions to bring about positive changes in the client's behavior, be it cognitive, social, emotional, or physical. Responsibilities also include educating patients in healthy coping skills and available leisure resources for post‑discharge planning, and delivering services in accordance with current standards of practice.

Qualifications
Job Requirements
* CTRS Certification by National Certification Board (NCTRC) required, or a Master's Level Creative Arts Therapist (Dance and Movement, Art, Music, etc.) with appropriate board certification.
* Experience in a behavioral health hospital setting preferred.
