Key Purpose of the Role
Develop FXC’s status and recognition as category leaders.
Support the business to enable maximum growth for FXC.
Use insight to identify drivers of long term, sustainable commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and embed the development of the category vision, to identify key drivers of wine growth for the future and identify how FXC can contribute to this.
Lead the development of category rationale that assists with gaining listings and extending distribution for FXC products in line with the targets set for the year.
Ensure clear plans across the team to meet the needs of customers and deliver short, medium and long term category development.
Collaboration with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, IBP) and external stakeholders (Retailers / On trade) to develop and drive growth initiatives.
Effective, expert and leading category account management for key accounts.
Manage the development of category reporting and communication to wider business.
Input as required to the mid-term planning process via future forecasting for the category.
Ensure at the forefront of current and future trends in our recommendations, strategies and solutions.
Lead relationship with key data providers and effectively manage category budget.
Development and management of category team (3 reports).
Person Specification
Significant experience in Category Management and using market data sources.
Strong analytical and numerical skills to develop insights from multiple data sources.
Positive, confident and strategic approach.
Strong communicator and good track record of success in building excellent working relationships.
Ability to influence and lead internal and external thinking.
Confident using Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
Ability to multitask and prioritise successfully for self and team.
Engaging and accomplished presenting style – ability to link data and insight to robust and compelling recommendations.
Methodical and organised approach with ability to plan workload and high attention to detail.
