The role We have a great opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join our dedicated Asset Compliance team. You'll take on the role of a 'Subject Matter Expert' within the Asset Compliance Directorate in your key area of responsibility: Heating. You will work with the Head of Service to ensure that we remain legally and regulatorily compliant, keeping fully up to date with changes in legislation, regulation, and best practice - both within the housing sector and beyond. You will ensure that all formal documentation (such as management plans) is followed and kept current, and that everything we commit to doing is being delivered. You will have financial responsibility for contracts up to £10m per annum and line manage 7 - 8 direct reports. In addition, you will lead on the quality assurance of our heating‑related services, ensuring the effective delivery of repairs and appliance replacements while maintaining robust servicing compliance standards. A key part of the role will be driving high levels of customer satisfaction. You'll support your team in delivering safe, high‑quality services for our residents and ensuring that our compliance streams operate efficiently, consistently, and with a clear focus on customer experience. This role is based at one of our main offices in Farringdon, Croydon, Maidstone, or Sittingbourne, working 2 days onsite and 3 days from home. What you'll need: Proven track record of a high level of competency in heating works in similar environment Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills Experience in managing successful teams and inspiring others to follow Ability to work in a pressurised environment, effectively managing workloads and prioritising tasks Experience in managing budgets and working with contractors and consultants Higher level certificate in Gas Safety Awareness (ACS) or similar (desirable) Membership of a relevant professional body e.g., AGSM/ASCP, RICS, CIOB, CIBSE (desirable) In your supporting statement, it is important that you address how you meet each of the above seven criteria providing real examples.
