Overview:
A UK government organisation is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a major transformation programme. This role will play a pivotal part in analysing, mapping, and redesigning business processes to enable more efficient and effective service delivery across the department.The successful candidate will have a proven background in business analysis within government environments, with a strong grasp of GDS (Government Digital Service) standards and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct detailed business analysis to understand existing processes, user journeys, and system dependencies.
* Develop comprehensive as-is and to-be process maps, using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technical teams to gather requirements and identify areas for transformation.
* Lead workshops and interviews to capture business needs and user requirements.
* Support the development of business cases and contribute to the delivery of digital services in line with GDS service standards.
* Translate complex processes and requirements into clear documentation for use by delivery teams.
* Ensure alignment of business process redesign with organisational strategy and policy requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst in UK government departments or public sector organisations.
* Strong background in process mapping, business process modelling (e.g. BPMN), and business transformation.
* Hands-on experience with GDS standards, service assessments, and agile delivery environments.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Experience supporting end-to-end delivery of digital services and process change.
* Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive outcomes in a complex environment.
This role is Inside IR35 and offered via umbrella or PAYE. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and may be subject to baseline personnel security clearance (BPSS) or higher depending on the department.
