English Teacher Job – Leicester

3. Full-time and long-term role
We are working in partnership with an Ofsted ‘Good’ 11-16 secondary school in South Leicester who are seeking an enthusiastic andmitted Teacher of English to provide long-term cover from January until the end of the academic year. There is a possibility to go temp to perm for the right candidate. Due to this being a long-term job, full teaching responsibilities will be required, including planning and marking.
Job Description
4. Delivering engaging and creative English lessons at KS3 & KS4.
5. Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
6. Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
7. Contributing to the development of the department’s curriculum.
Requirements
8. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's wee to apply.
9. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
10. Experience of teaching English across years 7–11
11. At least 2 years’ experience of teaching in a UK school
12. Strong behaviour/classroom management.
13. Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
