Senior Quantity Surveyor
Join our Tier 1 client as a Senior Quantity Surveyor based from their offices just outside Glasgow.
Please note that this client does not provide sponsorship for international candidates and you would require at least 5 years working experience in the UK to be considered.
What you’ll be doing
* Request information and systematically check data.
* Prepare Activity Schedules, Resource Schedules & analyze tender documents.
* Critically appraise, estimate and negotiate the above with 3rd parties.
* Review complex contract programmes such as Time-Location.
* Assist with the preparation of delay and disruption programmes.
* Monitor subcontract activities, measure and respond appropriately.
* Prepare internal reports, commercial progress and financial reconciliation and report to senior project staff.
* Understand the Customer Contract and undertake customer and stakeholder management.
* Analyze rates & prices, agree variations and/or compensation events as required.
* Prepare, submit and negotiate claims when required.
* Manage commercial aspects with Customer and stakeholders for your area of responsibility.
* Undertake constructability analyses using construction programmes.
* Prepare procurement programme and help develop the strategy.
Development, Recruitment and Retention
Supports the recruitment, supervision and development of team members. A good knowledge of and adherence to the Company’s governance requirements and maximises LEAN/digital opportunities.
Who we’re looking for
* BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent knowledge.
* MRICS/MCInstCES/MCIOB or working towards.
* CSCS Card (Professional Qualified Person).
