Recruitment and Onboarding Business Partner, E-ACT
Join E‑ACT as our Recruitment and Onboarding Business Partner and play a pivotal role in shaping how we attract and welcome top talent across our Trust.
Location: Hybrid working – based from the Birmingham Office 2 days per week.
Salary: £47,181 - £51,356, SCP 36-40.
Contract type: Permanent.
In this role, you will lead a dedicated team to deliver a streamlined, high‑quality recruitment and onboarding process for all new employees. You will ensure full compliance with safer recruitment practices and KCSIE guidelines, while building strong relationships with Headteachers, Education Directors, and central teams to meet organisational needs. Working closely with and reporting to the Chief Talent Officer, you will collaborate with Headteachers, Education Directors, and central teams to ensure our recruitment and onboarding processes meet the evolving needs of the organisation. You will be responsible for reviewing and enhancing onboarding processes and templates to ensure a consistent, high‑quality experience for every new hire, manage visa applications in line with UKVI regulations, and track and report on key recruitment metrics such as time‑to‑hire, advertising success, and source analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the team to deliver a centralised recruitment and onboarding process across the Trust
* Ensuring safeguarding compliance in line with KCSIE and maintaining the Single Central Register
* Managing stakeholder engagement and communication across multiple academies
* Overseeing immigration processes and UKVI platform usage
* Driving data‑led improvements through recruitment metrics and reporting
* Supporting and developing the team through coaching and performance reviews
What Are We Looking For?
* Proven experience in recruitment and onboarding within a complex organisation
* Strong knowledge of safer recruitment, KCSIE, and employment legislation
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
* A proactive, flexible mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
* Experience with ATS and HRIS systems, and a commitment to service excellence
