About the Service Children’s Residential Services in Staffordshire provide a range of high-quality, child-centred placements including: Long-term placements Short-term assessment homes Short breaks for children on the edge of care Short breaks for children with disabilities Our teams are caring, passionate and committed to achieving positive outcomes. Supported by a stable leadership structure, your role is crucial in championing a culture of learning, development, and excellence. The Role – What You’ll Lead As Registered Manager, you will: Be registered with Ofsted and ensure full compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards Provide strong, supportive, and effective leadership to deputy managers and residential staff Ensure the home’s Statement of Purpose reflects the ethos and goals of the service Oversee care planning to ensure support is outcome-focused and regularly reviewed Use data, audits and performance tools (Reg 44/45, Ofsted feedback) to drive improvement Promote the voice, experiences and feedback of children, young people and families to shape service delivery Manage staffing, budgets, health & safety, and safeguarding responsibilities Work collaboratively with Social Workers, Education, Health, and Police to provide exceptional multi-agency support Ensure high-quality practice through monthly file audits, medication oversight, and restorative approaches Support the wider service by participating in on-call duties, occasional cover at other homes, and working some unsocial hours This is a role where your leadership sets the standard for safety, quality, and outcomes.
