Senior Planning Engineer

As a Senior Planner you will be responsible for:
* Leading the Planning function with key interface to the other business units/planners.
* Leading, mentoring, and coaching the team on schedule prioritisation and scope availability.
* Develop, control, monitor, analyse and report on schedule related aspects for the designated project.
* Establish and monitor resource loaded, logic linked, baseline plan(s) for the project in accordance with project and corporate processes.
* Capture project budgetary costs and resources in the plan to determine time phasing of expenditure and the total project budget.
* Maintain and control project baselines in line with client’s procedures and guidance.
* Ensure the reasons for, and the factors influencing each change to the project’s baseline plan and the implications of such change are understood and communicated with the wider project team.
* Assist the lead planner with EVM (Earned Value Management) evaluation and practice within the project schedules.
* Challenging schedule and cost variances against the baseline plan and wider portfolio.
* Regular interfacing and integration with the project controls team to maintain an aligned portfolio by means of the Project Plan(s).
* Discuss and review plans with management and other stakeholders to identify priorities for construction and communicate the strategy.
Who we're looking for
* Experience across the project lifecycle (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning processes)
* Civil/Mechanical focus
* Excellent Primavera (P6) knowledge and experience
* Experience in building cost and resource loaded plans
* High level of numeracy and excellent analytical skills
* Experience / understanding in the interpretation of estimating, scheduling, programming and risk tools that exist in the Project Controls market.
* Experience / understanding of Earned Value Analysis
* Relevant experience in Project Controls and/or Project Delivery, preferably in a highly regulated environment.
* Ability to interact confidently with a project team
