My client, an independent, innovative multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Civil and Structural Engineer to join their experienced team of drainage and highways engineers, based near the lively city of Swansea, located on the beautiful Gower Peninsula.
Essential Criteria:
* An accredited Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Attained Chartered Engineer status, or actively working toward this
* Demonstrable experience of working within an engineering consultancy role
* Good working knowledge of a range of software packages, including STAADPro, MasterSeries, CADDS, SAND, etc.
* Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD and TruView
* Experience of having carried out structural surveys
* Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package and Adobe Acrobat
* Full UK Driver's Licence
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Civil and Structural Engineer to possess the following skills:
- Knowledge and experience of SketchUp
- Familiarity with the local region
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Excellent time management
- Prepared to travel nationally, with the possibility of staying away for short periods
In the varied role of Civil and Structural Engineer, you will join a dedicated team of experts in the field, with a view to developing your career and working to attain a professional qualification. The role will involve a number of exciting responsibilities, including:
* Support the Senior Engineer Engineers and management with the delivery of projects across a wide scope, adhering to budget and quality standards
* Provide assistance to Senior Engineers in project preparation, including calculations, specifications, etc.
* Assist the Design Team with the delivery of accurate drawings
* Carry out site inspections and surveys, supervising recent graduate engineers
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects
* Implement the company policy, particularly adhering to quality management
