*Full job description*
*Service Technician and MOT Tester*
*Role Overview*
*Routine & Complex Repairs:* Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., oil changes, brakes, suspension, etc...) and complex repairs on engines, transmissions, and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
*Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:* Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, use diagnostic tools to identify issues, and collaborate with colleagues to avoid unresolved faults.
*Parts Management:* Recommend, order, receive, and install appropriate replacement parts, ensuring proper fit and functionality.
*Documentation & Reporting:* Accurately complete job cards, document all services, repairs, parts used, and submit Vehicle Health Check (VHC) reports.
*Quality & Safety Standards:* Adhere to quality control standards, ensure repairs are reliable and safe, meet efficiency and productivity targets, and maintain a focus on health and safety for yourself and others.
*MOT Tester Roles and Responsibilities:*
* Perform MOT tests on vehicles in accordance with the relevant regulations and guidelines
* Inspect vehicles for safety and compliance with emissions standards
* Identify and report any defects or issues found during the testing process
* Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
* Maintain a clean and organised work area
