Facilities Maintenance Technician Location: Tewkesbury A leading aerospace organisation is seeking Facilities Maintenance Technicians to join the Facilities team at a state-of-the-art Tewkesbury campus. Why This Role? *£45 million site investment with cutting-edge infrastructure *Profit share and employee share schemes *Comprehensive training and career development opportunities *Excellent benefits package *Inclusive, diverse workplace with a focus on wellbeing and innovation Benefits *33 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays) *Private Medical Insurance *Life Assurance and Company Pension (starting at 6%) *Flexible benefits scheme and employee share options *Free onsite parking and EV charging *Access to mental health and financial wellbeing resources Key Responsibilities *Deliver and support the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme for building systems (HVAC, compressed air, electrical, plumbing, lighting) *Carry out visual inspections, meter readings, and routine checks to ensure compliance and safety *Respond promptly to equipment and facility breakdowns to minimise downtime *Support initiatives to improve energy, water, and waste efficiency *Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and reports to support ISO/HSE audits *Assist with facility improvement projects, layout changes, and new installations *Coordinate maintenance activities with Production, Engineering, and external contractors to minimise disruption Candidate Requirements Essential *Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in industrial or commercial environments *Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance techniques, with excellent fault-finding ability *Experience with PPM procedures and safe working practices *Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics *Self-motivated, with strong organisational and prioritisation skills *Full UK driving licence *Flexibility to work shifts (24/5 support) and respond to call-outs Desirable *NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a building trade, plumbing, or electrical discipline *Relevant certifications such as Legionella (L8), F-Gas, PAT Testing, 18th Edition, HVAC, or similar *Health & Safety training and experience working at heights or in confined spaces Working Environment The role supports a 24/5 manufacturing operation, with shift work and on-call duties. Work will involve high-voltage systems, heavy plant, and hazardous materials, requiring strict adherence to safety procedures and excellent cross-functional communication.
