Working for Waukesha Bearings as a Commissioning Engineer
You will be part of a specialist team responsible for commissioning new active magnetic bearings installations and servicing existing installations worldwide. Additionally, you will support production testing at our laboratory in Worthing, West Sussex.
Waukesha Magnetic Bearings has over three decades of applying magnetic bearing technology to enhance rotating equipment performance. We lead in custom-engineered active magnetic bearing (AMB) systems for large turbomachinery and high-performance rotating equipment, including turbo expanders, multi-stage natural gas compressors, and electrical motors up to 23MW.
What You Will Bring
* HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar qualification
* Over five years' experience in commissioning automation/control systems for industrial machinery
* Experience with rotating equipment such as turbines, compressors, or heavy-duty pumps is preferred
* Knowledge of European safety standards is beneficial
What You Will Do
* Commission systems worldwide, including subsystems prior to site installation
* Service and support call-outs globally
* Complete system integration and testing per company procedures
* Provide documentation for testing installations and cabinets
* Assist with cabinet testing and ensure delivery meets all requirements
* Adhere to safety and quality standards by country
* Achieve commissioning targets as per customer agreements
* Maintain professionalism and technical competence with customers
* Support business objectives and undertake additional duties as needed
* Travel up to 50%, including international travel
