As a key group within the business, Scottish Water Horizons delivers Projects installing Renewable Technologies on to SW Assets to help provide Cheaper, Greener Energy Solutions and help SW towards its 2040 Net Zero Goals and The Scottish Government Regulatory Targets. We deliver PV & Hydro systems, and are currently working to re-establish a Wind Programme too. Do your bit by joining us as a Senior Project Manager within Horizons managing the Net Zero Renewables Delivery Team. What youâll do As a Senior Project Manager within our Delivery Team, youâll keep Capital Investment Renewables projects Pan-Scotland running smoothly â from the plans that meet our goals, to running workshops that help us pinpoint our âwhat nextâ. Youâll be leading the charge in achieving Scottish Water's 2040 Net Zero Targets along with building those crucial relationships with key internal and external players. Your Teamâs Projects could include mounting PV Panels on the Roof of a Water Treatment Works Building, installing a Hydro Turbine to capture Compensation Flow from a SW Reservoir, or building Wind Turbines on spare ground within a Waste Water Treatment Works. Youâll constantly be looking for innovative ways to meet the challenges of climate change, and for improvements to the delivery of our service. Youâll handle project reviews and reporting, so we can learn what works best and keep on delivering more for Scotland. Itâs all in a dayâs work. Youâll drive your team to ensure projects move forward through governance approvals, complete with all the necessary papers and supporting information. Youâll review monthly reports with the team and partners, including out-turn costs, milestone completion dates and timely resource demands. You'll drive and manage the processes that makes projects come to life, from planning to construction to commissioning. We're talking meeting deadlines and commercial criteria, quality standards and industry best practices. Youâll make sure we're following all the rules â governance, health and safety, quality, and environmental regulations, and that we are fully compliant when it comes to CDM & NIS Regulations. Youâll set the tone for your team, building a strong culture that chimes with the aims of Scottish Water and delivers on project targets. Youâll also act as a role model and mentor to help team members grow their skills with development plans and coaching and it goes without saying that Scottish Water Horizons is a key promoter in the development of Graduates & Modern Apprentices. What youâll need A hands-on Senior Project Manager, youâll have a record of successful Capital Investment programme delivery. Youâll know your way around renewables technologies, construction health & safety, CDM Regulations, customer engagement, NEC4 Contracts and financial management. Efficiently steering a programme of projects through their Implementation is your success factor, so ability to manage individuals and teams during Construction Phase is a core activity. Youâll need to work closely with other groups within SW, local authorities, DNOs, and your colleagues in SWH, so youâll need to be someone whoâs good at networking and building strong working relationships. Making friends and influencing people is just what you do. Thereâs no formal qualification for that. You are results driven with a focus on budget and quality. Change doesn't scare you â in fact, you're the one suggesting new processes and procedures for better results, always driving for continuous improvements. We have a Hybrid set-up so your office base can be agreed depending on your Home Location, and you'll need your PPE on standby for regular site visits.  A driving licence is non-negotiable. If youâre new to Scottish Water, youâll join us on a starting salary of £48,900.
