Job Summary
An exciting role for a Project Manager in Airbus’s Single Aisle New Generation Department. The successful candidate will orchestrate complex, high‑impact programmes end‑to‑end, ensuring objectives, scope, cost, and quality are met to the highest level of customer satisfaction and visible leadership from initial set‑up through final closure.
Responsibilities
* Define and lead multi‑disciplinary teams within a matrix environment.
* Act as primary decision‑maker when deviations from the plan occur, possessing authority to renegotiate objectives with sponsors and implement corrective actions.
* Communicate effectively, engage the team, and ensure lessons learned from complex engineering and IT integrations are captured for future workflows.
* Manage external partners and suppliers with precision.
* Support Catia upgrade programs and related test management & automation initiatives.
* Ensure seamless operations and maintain the programme’s strategic alignment with long‑term digital and manufacturing goals.
Qualifications
* Preferably degree educated.
* Project management experience including budget management and Agile methodologies.
* Knowledge of Catia/PLM.
* Experience in aerospace/engineering (preferred).
* Supplier management experience.
* Experience working transnationally with a distributed team.
* Flexible, collaborative mindset and ability to work autonomously in an empowered team.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Comfortable defining and clarifying scope for projects that are not fully formed.
* Security clearance: BPSS check (criminal record check).
* Occasional travel within the UK and internationally.
* Full‑time employment type.
