This is a long-term role starting in September, supporting a pupil in KS1 who thrives on structure, patience, and calm guidance. Whether you’re experienced with ASC or have transferable skills from care or SEN support, this school is ready to welcome someone who truly gets it. What the role includes: 1:1 classroom support for a KS1 pupil with ASC Creating routines and using visuals to aid communication Building trust and helping the pupil access learning throughout the day Close collaboration with the class teacher, SENCO, and family Supporting emotional regulation with empathy and calm strategies You’ll be great if you: Have experience supporting children or adults with autism Are confident using structure, visuals, and sensory strategies Stay calm under pressure and know when to step back or step in Are positive, patient, and consistent—kids notice, and it matters!
