An exciting development opportunity has arisen within NHS Forth Valley for a Maternal Infant Nutrition Co-ordinator. This post is based in the Women & Children’s Unit and will work across all areas to support the recommendations within the Maternal and Infant Nutrition Framework.
We are looking for individuals with a keen interest in Infant Nutrition to drive forward the Maternal and Infant Nutrition agenda. This is an exciting opportunity to enhance and influence interventions that will positively impact the nutritional status of birthing people and babies.
It is important that you are an enthusiastic and motivated midwife/nurse with excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of demonstrating focus and commitment to achieving Scottish Government targets, including the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative.
Essential requirements include a keen interest in patient safety, excellent clinical knowledge, recent evidence of ongoing CPD, awareness of research-based evidence/guidelines, and competent IT skills. The applicant should possess the ability to prioritize fluctuating workloads, remain focused, and be flexible. Education to degree level is desirable.
The role involves providing day-to-day support to midwives, maternity care assistants, and nursery nurses in their practice and professional development, as well as collaborating with other nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals, and senior management.
This is a senior midwifery/nursing role with expectations of full participation in clinical and professional leadership within the organization.
