About Our Client
Established mid tier firm based in Chester support an interesting and varied client base.
Job Description
* Maintain and update financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
* Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as they arise - Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
* Preparation of Quarterly VAT Returns
* Communication with clients, to request documents and statements
* Performing day-to-day bank and ledger reconciliations
The Successful Applicant
* Previous experience in accounting or finance roles preferred.
* Knowledge of various software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, is an advantage
* Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
