We are seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer with a strong building services background to join our clients growing team.This role offers exposure to complex, high‑profile projects across multiple sectors, with the opportunity to develop toward Chartership while working alongside a supportive senior team.
Responsibilities include:
* Coordinating with senior team members and supporting delivery across multiple projects
* Liaising confidently with internal and external stakeholders (Clients, Architects, Contractors, Consultants)
* Providing technical input across a variety of sectors including commercial, residential, mixed‑use and more
* Leading technical design tasks throughout the project lifecycle
* Attending design team meetings with support from an Associate Director
* Carrying out site inspections and producing clear reports for the design team
* Collaborating with wider business partners to meet company objectives
* Undertaking electrical building services design calculations to inform project decisions
* Working as part of a project team or leading workstreams to meet project briefs
* Supporting other disciplines within the office when required
Experience & Qualifications We are looking for someone who brings strong sector knowledge and a positive, collaborative approach:
* 5+ years’ experience in a Building Services xsngvjr consultancy environment (UK experience essential)
* Proficiency in Dialux, Relux or similar lighting design tools
* Proficiency in Amtech or similar cable‑sizing / electrical design software
* Degree in Building Services Engineering or related discipline
* Current awareness of Health & Safety and Environmental Policy requirements
* Working towards Chartership with a recognised engineering institution
* Strong working knowledge of CAD/Revit
