We’re excited to share this opportunity and are looking for someone to join our team as the Community Education Lead. The Community Education Lead is responsible for managing RACT’s educational programs and initiatives that deliver the outcomes of RACT’s Group strategy, as well as implementing community education programs, building partnerships, and ensuring the smooth operation of educational activities that drive advocacy outcomes and focus on delivering to the Tasmanian community.
About the role:
Design, develop, and execute community education presentations aligned with RACT group and advocacy strategies.
Create engaging workshops, presentations, tools and resources for education partners and community groups.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders including but not limited to schools, community organisations, like minded businesses and other auto-clubs.
Represent RACT at community meetings, events, PR and media opportunities.
Work with peers withing the organisation, auto clubs and business groups to innovate and improve the effectiveness of educational programs using data. feedback, surveys, and performance metrics.
Provide regular reporting on program outcomes, improvements and budget.
Ensure RACT’s range of community education offerings are managed within a risk management framework, ensuring that all safety, WH&S and operational risks are identified and managed.
Stay informed about relevant regulations and industry trends.
Maintain partnerships with like-minded organisations to deliver a range of community education and engagement activities across the Tasmanian community.
Be available for regular activities held outside of normal business hours, evenings and weekends including intrastate and interstate travel.
About you:
Demonstrated experience teaching in high school or primary school in a classroom environment.
Excellent range of classroom management skills that enable you to build rapport with students and engage them in our programs.
Demonstrated compassion in understanding the challenges facing all ages of the Tasmanian community with a desire to make a positive difference for them as through our education and engagement offerings..
Experience in program management or community engagement is desirable.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Passion for promoting community education across a diverse group of Tasmanians across the state.
