Conveyancing Assistant

A well-established and reputable law firm in Romsey is seeking a motivated Conveyancing Assistant to join its friendly and supportive Residential Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine interest in developing a career in conveyancing.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide administrative support to fee earners within the Residential Conveyancing department.
* Manage incoming correspondence, phone calls, and client enquiries.
* Prepare and organise documents, including contract packs and completion statements.
* Carry out searches and liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors.
* Update case management systems and maintain accurate file records.
* Assist with the progression of property transactions from instruction through to completion.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous experience within a conveyancing or legal support role is desirable, but strong administrative experience will also be considered.
* Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional manner.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
* A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
* Competent IT skills, including case management systems (training provided).
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
