Job summary
The job involves providing support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health issues in their own home and community. The company is a family-run business that has been caring for and supporting people since 1986, with over 100 locations across England.
Main duties of the job
As a support worker, you will be responsible for encouraging individuals to play an active role in their communities, supporting them with activities of daily living, communicating effectively using their chosen methods, and promoting and motivating them to enhance their quality of life. You will also need to support individuals who may require positive behavioral support approaches, keep accurate records, and work as part of a team.

Semington, Trowbridge
This service supports 3 ladies living with learning disabilities in a small village between Melksham and Trowbridge with great public transport links to the wider community. To live independently within their own home and community.
We are looking for support workers to join our amazing team, to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

As part of your day to day work you will be offering the following;
Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
Communicating- effectively communicate using peoples chosen methods
Engaging- promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life
Specialising- supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches
Recording- keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
Team player Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
