Duties And Responsibilities

To ensure that all Rope Access activities are carried out safely, efficiently in accordance with company and statuary regulations and carry out a range of NDT inspection techniques on components, pipework and structural assemblies etc, in order to establish acceptability to specification

Functions

1. Reports to the site supervisor/ superintendent, ensuring the safe, efficient and profitable day-to-day NDT inspection job for our clients.
2. NDT Technician Inspection using Ultrasonics, Magnetic Particle and Liquid/ Dye Penetrant Techniques. (Daily Routine)
3. Ensure that work area is safe to carry out Rope Access & NDT activities.
4. Carry out risk assessments/Take II as required.
5. Ensure NDT equipment function tests are performed according to the procedure and any faulty equipment is detailed back to the supervisor.
6. Ensure inspection is carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification.
7. Perform routine equipment / consumable function tests to ensure everything is in good working order. Any issues must be reported directly to supervision.
8. Evaluate results of the test in accordance with applicable specification
9. Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all finding noting any limitations / test restrictions is applicable.
10. Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires
11. Carry out work in accordance with Oceaneering operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements
12. Undertake any other duties of a reasonable nature as required by Management
13. Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
14. The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post
15. Assist with any other duties as and when required
16. L3 to supervise and direct rope access personnel to ensure operational efficiency with the implementation of the appropriate standards of safety, and quality control in rope access activities, according to Oceaneering procedures.
17. L1/L2 to carry out duties applicable to that grade and work towards achiving L2/L3 qualification
18. All relevant paperwork in the Rope Access work pack will be read, filled out, signed, and sent back to operations on completion of the project.
19. Maintain the rope access equipment ensuring that the certification is kept up to date. On return to Stores all equipment must be cleaned and manifested to ensure that nothing is missing.

Safety
Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.


Other
Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

20. L3 is required to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's rope access policies and applicable laws.


Qualifications

REQUIRED

21. IRATA Rope Access Lv3 Qualification
22. PCN - UT – Level 2 – Ultrasonic Testing (Welds) plus one other surface NDT qualification (MT or PT)
23. CSE (confined space) – training will be provided if required
24. Valid Full UK driving license.

DESIRED

25. PCN - MT – Level 2 – Magnetic Particle Testing (P)
26. PCN - PT – Level 2 – Dye/ Liquid Penetrant Testing (P)
27. GCSE/Standard Grade pass in English, Maths and Science
28. Eye Test
29. RPS
30. Offshore Survival
31. MIST
32. Fit to Train
