Overview
As a Programme Manager at London Gatwick, youll lead a strategically important programme of works, covering a series of interrelated projects within a live airport operational environment. This is an exciting and varied programme spanning terminal and passenger experience upgrades to critical infrastructure and resilience projects. Youll shape strategic projects across the customer journey—from road access and parking to check-in, security, retail experiences, and boarding. Youll deliver projects that directly improve the experience of millions of passengers each year in a live operational environment and contribute to shaping the future of one of the worlds busiest airports. Our projects span the airport with smaller works delivering projects ranging from £500k to £20 million, including retail unit refurbishments, International Departure Lounge refurbishments with full FFE, and NetZero-related upgrades.
What is the role? Reporting into the Capital Programmes Director, you will lead and oversee a diverse programme of projects, guiding teams through procurement, delivery, and handover phases; ensure projects are well-coordinated and aligned to meet programme and business objectives; work closely with operations to ensure smooth Airport Operational Readiness for every handover; identify and manage risks while minimising operational disruption; and inspire, coach, and develop your team to deliver world-class outcomes.

What we’re looking for (Qualifications)
* Proven experience as a Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager delivering multi-year, multi-disciplinary infrastructure programmes, typically in excess of £50 million.
* Experience managing multi-disciplinary projects with a mechanical, electrical, or building services element, alongside other disciplines.
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing at all levels, including board level.
* Proven ability to manage internal teams and external contractors in a live operational environment.
* Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment.
