Job description
Our client, a leader in the rail sector, is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer - Rail for a long-term contract. This role is offered on a contract basis, operating outside IR35. The position involves working on multi-disciplined projects with a significant focus on signalling within the rail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assisting with the planning of engineering works, including the production and submission of racecards, lookaheads, and SWP applications.
2. Compiling H&S file requirements for projects.
3. Managing and maintaining asset trackers and documentation trackers to support project needs.
4. Attending and contributing to project meetings as required.
5. Managing the integration of small work packages within allocated projects.
6. Supporting the Project Engineering Manager (PEM) and/or the Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM) as directed.
7. Acting as Work Package Manager (WPM) for deliverables detailed and assigned within the project programme.
8. Facilitating integration between disciplines to support assigned work elements.
9. Serving as the Project Manager's engineering representative on projects where needed.
10. Acting as PEM or CEM on small projects.
Job Requirements:
11. Experience and appreciation of design, construction, testing, and possession planning in rail projects.
12. Hold IRSE Licence 7.8.110F and maintain an IRSE Logbook in accordance with IRSE criteria.
13. Possess a valid ATW.
14. Hold COSS Competence.
15. Full UK driving licence.
