An opportunity is available for a Network Technician based at Bodmin. The successful candidate will be accountable to the Team Manager for the construction, maintenance, and repair of the distribution network up to 66kV. You will be responsible for safety, work planning, performance, issuing safety documents, and other technician duties. You will also be required to switch up to 66kV.
You must have a grade A qualification, with GCSEs (C/4-9) or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths, and a City & Guilds 2339 Level 2 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. Evidence of qualifications is required prior to appointment. Depending on experience, initial salary may be lower until training is completed.

The Ideal Candidate
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, make decisions on the spot, and communicate effectively. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Willingness to train as an SAP and be mobile within the area for standby duties. Residence within approximately 30 minutes of the depot is required.
If not already attained, the candidate must undertake Level 3 City & Guilds 2339. The role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check, with varying screening levels depending on the role.
