SENCO / Inclusion Lead (DSL Pathway) – SEMH School (Stoke)

Role: SENCO / Inclusion Lead
Location: Stoke-on-Trent (SEMH Specialist School)
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start: ASAP / Negotiable

Shape and lead SEND provision within a growing SEMH school.

A specialist SEMH school in Stoke is appointing a passionate and skilled SENCO / Inclusion Lead to join their Senior Leadership Team. The school is seeking either a qualified SENCO or someone working towards the SENCO qualification, with clear experience coordinating EHCPs and supporting whole-school inclusion.


Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee all SEND provision and ensure robust systems

* Coordinate EHCP reviews, annual cycles, and assessments

* Work closely with external agencies and families

* Lead inclusion strategy across the school

* Potential to take on DSL responsibilities (supported transition)

* Support staff in delivering high-quality, needs-led interventions





What We’re Looking For:

* SENCO qualification or working towards it

* Experience managing EHCP processes

* Strong organisational and communication skills

* Understanding of SEMH needs and behaviour support

* Genuine passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
