About the Role
Due to growth we currently have vacancies for CNC Operators within Gas Turbines, based in our facility in Peterhead. We are looking for individuals who are interested in operating and edit programs on the CNC Machining Centres and Lathes. On occasion may be required to carry out basic manual machining tasks.
If you have a hands on mechanical background within the Oil and Gas industry, are experienced at working within a workshop and as required site environment, are committed to working in a safe manner and like the sound of joining a team that prides its self on delivering high quality services and products to our clients then we would welcome your application!
Primary responsibilities
Responsible for machining of components on a range of CNC Machinery
Will select and modify programs from a database and will also write programs when required
Ensure QA Cards & associated paperwork is completed correctly
Report any plant or equipment damage to Supervisor
Advise Supervisor of any damaged tooling or tooling required
Be willing to undertake extra training on manual machines
Ensuring that correct programs and tooling are selected
Reporting any drawing discrepancies to Supervisor
Qualifications and Experience
Experience in a Machine Shop Environment
Experience operating CNC Machines
Previous experience in an Engineering environment
Mechanical Apprenticeship or equivalent
Behaviours and skills
Effective communication skills
Honest & Reliable
Ability to work well in team as well and to take own initiative
Commitment to continual improvement and a flexible approach to change
Self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering HSEQ excellence
