Job Overview
An accurate, confidential and supportive administration service for patients, clinical teams, carers and internal and external agencies (e.g. Local Authority, Third Sector, CAIS) to provide a safe and efficient patient pathway and to provide information and appropriate support to families and carers.
The post holder will support the delivery of a comprehensive high‑quality medical secretarial administrative service.
Main Duties of the Job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced secretary for the Acute Paediatrics Department. This is a part‑time, permanent post that covers a range of administrative tasks to maintain a prompt and accurate secretarial service.
You must have the ability to produce efficient and accurate typing and will therefore have previous secretarial experience. You will have excellent keyboard and audio typing skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
The ability to prioritise your work and be highly organised is paramount, as is excellent interpersonal communication skills, which include a friendly telephone manner, a professional sensitive approach and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

* RSA level 2 or equivalent demonstrable experience
* NVQ Business Administration L3 or equivalent experience
