Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join the Stroke Therapy Teams. The post holder will rotate between the Hyperacute Stroke and Rehab Units at Aintree, Stroke Rehab Unit at Broadgreen, and the Early Supported Discharge Team to support patient rehabilitation and seamless transition across the Stroke pathway.
The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, deputising for team leads, and demonstrating excellent communication skills. Experience with adults with complex neurological presentations, leadership qualities, and supporting staff or student development are essential.
Development and Support
This position offers career development through training, supervision, and personalized plans, supported by a named supervisor and the Therapy Management Team.
Requirements
* Flexibility to support seven-day services and shift patterns, including extended days and on-call duties.
* Access to a vehicle with business insurance for pathway rotations.
Rotations
The post involves 9-month rotations across the following areas:
* Hyperacute/Acute/Rehab Stroke units at Aintree Hospital
* Stroke Rehab at Broadgreen Hospital
* Liverpool Stroke Recovery Partnership/Sefton Early Supported Discharge Team

We are committed to staff development, including courses, research, and supervision of junior staff. The role requires working flexibly to meet service needs, including extended hours, late shifts, and on-call work.

Responsibilities
* Perform physiotherapy assessments, diagnose, and implement treatment plans for routine and complex patients.
* Educate and advise staff, patients, and carers, including those with communication difficulties.
* Participate in out-of-hours work and emergency on-call rotas.
* Represent the physiotherapy service in multidisciplinary meetings, ward rounds, and clinics.
