Lynhales Hall is set in seven acres of woodland close to the historic Herefordshire village of Lyonshall. Lynhales Hall is built around a stunning, two-storey 16th Century Manor House and is home to 65 residents.

The Role
You will work under the guidance and direction of the nurses, delivering a quality care service for the residents in our home, providing individualised, person‑centred care in a happy, homely environment. You will have a deep understanding and respect for the dignity of each resident, promoting their health and well‑being at all times. Shift times are predominantly 07.00 – 19.00 (days) or 19.00 – 07.00 (nights).
Key Responsibilities
* Assist residents with washing, toileting, dressing/undressing, and all aspects of personal care.
* Support residents who have limited mobility, using the necessary equipment provided.
* Ensure a positive mealtime experience and assist with eating/drinking with dignity & kindness.
* Provide encouragement and motivation to ensure day to day resident health and well‑being.
* Respond to call bells in a timely & professional manner and provide the required assistance.
* Maintain accurate records of the care provided and document/report any evident changes.
* Follow handover instructions, supporting the person in charge to ensure an efficient shift.

About You
You will have a genuine passion for care and supporting the elderly. An excellent communicator with a kind and patient manner. You will have the ability to work well within a team but also individually when required. Experience of working in a care home environment would be an advantage but not essential as we will provide you with the training and knowledge required if you have the relevant people qualities and share our core values.
