About the Business:
The Addington hostel has been operating for nearly 130 years in Addington, serving men who need a place to live. Typically, the men who are using this hostel have been homeless and will have had prior involvement with Corrections, Mental health or Addiction services.
About the Role:
Our two cleaners are important members of our combined housing team of 55, keeping the hostel and offices clean and tidy each day with so many people living and working on this 24-hour site. This is the 3 day a week role (plus relieving) each week and you are working alongside other staff during your shift. The role is quite flexible as to when it's done in the day or evening and would easily work around your family needs.
What will your responsibilities be:
4. Cleaning multiple bathrooms and kitchen areas
5. Restocking bathroom supplies as needed
6. Providing relief for the 4 day a week cleaner if required
7. Working alongside the men living onsite
8. Actively engage with the Support workers
9. Providing a commercial level of cleaning similar to that of a rest home, school or hospital
Our ideal candidate will:
10. be able to work independently in an all male hostel
11. able to show at least 2 years of prior NZ commercial experience in a similar type of service, such as a rest home, hospital, school or boarding hostel
12. can work Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday each week. Hours of work TBC, but can be between 7.30am-9.30pm
13. has a NZ driver's licence.

This role is a permanent part-time time and hours worked will be 18 per week, plus relief if required.
The hourly rate for this role will be $28.95
