CNC Machinist – Milling (Turning Desirable)

A permanent opportunity is available for a skilled CNC Machinist with strong milling experience to join a precision engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up machines and fixtures, select tools, set work/tool offsets, and edit CNC programs.
* Operate 4- and 5-axis machining centres using Heidenhain, Siemens, and Fanuc controls.
* Machine high-value components in materials including aluminium, titanium, and carbon fibre.
* Support process development, tooling improvements, and fixture design.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Collaborate with engineering to improve manufacturing procedures.
* Prioritise workload to meet production schedules.
* Mentor others, including apprentices, when required.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in CNC milling (essential); turning experience is advantageous.
* Ability to program and operate using Fanuc, Siemens, and Heidenhain.
* Familiar with CAD/CAM and multi-axis machining (3-5 axis).
* Competent in inspection techniques and workshop practices.
* Strong communication, computer, and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of H&S, CoSHH, lifting techniques, and 6S standards.
* Ability to work independently from concept to final product.
