We are looking for a confident and highly capable Physiotherapist to join our team at Berkhamsted School, a top-performing independent school with a strong sporting tradition. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, youth-focused clinical environment, alongside an exceptional multidisciplinary team.
As the on-site Physiotherapist, you will act as the initial clinical contact for any musculoskeletal or sports-related injuries presented by pupils and staff. You’ll provide early assessment, diagnosis, and intervention, managing cases independently while drawing on the expertise of the wider Return2Play team, including experience Physiotherapists, sports doctors and GP’s, and the school’s medical and sports departments.
Be responsible for leading the on-site clinic, ensuring its clinical excellence, operational success, and integration into the wider school community
Manage your own diary and caseload, ensuring timely and appropriate access for pupils.
Liaise closely with school nurses, coaches, strength and conditioning staff, and academic leadership.
Provide clinical updates to parents, coaches, heads of sport, the school medical team and external providers as needed.
Lead on and attend weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss cases and contribute to care planning.
Support the delivery of injury prevention and performance education across the school community.
HCPC-registered Chartered Physiotherapist with CSP membership.
Proven experience working with adolescent athletes in a clinical, sporting, or school environment.
Strong MSK and/or sports physiotherapy background.
Experience in a boarding school or elite youth sports setting.
Confident in presenting or contributing to injury prevention and health education sessions.
